Just a reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, October 11, the Hampton Historical Society will present its second-ever tavernwalk in downtown Hampton! The first walk in October 2012 was an astounding success, and we are hoping to have a repeat of that accomplishment in 2014. Please come out for an afternoon of Hampton history and samples of Victorian-inspired foods and beverages prepared by the professional chefs at The Galley Hatch, 401 Tavern, Savory Square Bistro, and The Old Salt, plus nuts and candy compliments of Marelli’s Market. Take on the persona of a 19th century Hamptonian and join the fun! Featuring costumed history presenters, trivia games, prizes, fortune teller, temperance marchers, tramps, and History on the Square.
The event is Saturday, October 11, 2014 2-5 pm. Cost is $15.00 per person, cash only, 21 and over event. Period costume is encouraged. For more information call the Hampton Historical Society 603-929-0781. Proceeds benefit the Tuck Museum. SEE YOU THERE!
Cheryl has been the principal planner of this event and like the first tavernwalk it is going to be great! Can’t wait to take part. The food samples that the restaurants will be offering are sounding mighty good.
